Maziwe Island the best diving destination along the Eastern African Coast



   Maziwe island is a very small unvegetated island surrounded by coral reefs located about 8 kilometres south east of the town of Pangani off the northern coast of Tanzania.
       Flora and Fauna
 There is a wide diversity of marine species found in and around the island reserves. This includes over 200 species of fish, 35 genera of corals, many types of birds and a number of different sea grasses, algae and sponges. The island used to be a nesting site for endangered green sea turtles.
    Tourism activities
 Maziwe remains an ideal place for swimming, snorkeling and diving as well as research expedition, sunbathing and watching dazzling tropical fish.
The area is ideal for underwater adventures and is among the best diving destination along the Eastern African Coast with a wide variety of underwater life.
